Park Opening

Last days planting shrubs and lilies, mulching and wedding. Has been so hard.
Karen Carreiro took the lead and works on the design, Eileen Rodgers helped to choose the wright place for each plant.
On Saturday 7 am we were at Lowe's receiving a donation of tools and wheel barrow, then to the park. Noas and Jim brought the shrubs from the nursery.
Digging holes on a soil full of rocks, weeding, picking trash, etc, etc.from 7;30 to 3:30.
Susie McCool, Nanette, Lynne Norris, Clara, Paulette, Cathy Benson, Jim, Walter, Peter, Eileen, showed what solidarity, share and commitment means.
Especial thanks to Peter who came from a church, is not a husband or related with the project, and worked with no rest.
If Saturday was hard Sunday was crazy. We needed to pay two kids to sweep all around the park( among other tasks ), because the storm made a mess with the mulch. Karen was at ten at the park with Lynne, my husband and I. Only download the tools and carry 7 bags of mulch was enough work. Peter came after church and Eileen too.
Some of the women that works really hard are in disability.
I felt so sorry for Karen because I couldn't stay longer because my body didn't have more energy.
I left 2:30 but Karen and Peter were still working with the paid kids.
